Three years ago…

…I would be waking up after two hours of sleep.

…I was spending my morning decorating and frantically making last plans.

…I nervously walked down the aisle.

Three years ago I married my best friend.

I received my Knit Picks Options needle set today… and I must say, aside from one minor problem (the needle binder had a broken zipper), the set is wonderful.

They’re definitely better than any other needles I’ve used but I haven’t really used any good needles like Addi Turbos before this experience. I would have wished for a slightly smoother join from cable to needle but it doesn’t have too much affect on my knitting experience. Until now I’ve been using crappy circs from Walmart… need I say more?

So, to celebrate I decided to sit down and learn how to knit two socks at one time on one circular needle. I’ve heard that this method isn’t for the beginning knitter or those faint of heart, as it uses the Magic Loop and the figure-8 cast on, but it isn’t all that bad. Only have played around with the directions from Silver’s Sock Class and some craptastic yarn from hell, I’m pretty happy with the results.

I blame the sugar high from the fruit snacks for the poor quality of this entry.

I’ll post more on the needles as I use them. I know you’re all on the edges of your seats!
