I love, love, love cowls and scarves… but never find the time to finish one during the winter season. This year I decided to get a head start and knitted up this quick little cowl out of some lovely wool-blend yarn which I received in a swap. The simple pattern makes it go so quickly and it’s easy enough to memorize - even with a hyper just-started-walking baby around! I loves it. I loves it good.

First of all, I have become hopelessly addicted to Doctor Who recently. After surfing around on Ravelry, I found a pattern for a Dalek dishcloth called EXFOLIATE! I mean, how could I NOT knit one?
Let us please mourn the loss of my Harry Potter Ravenclaw scarf which sacrificed its short life to become this amazingly awesome dish cloth. Amen.
Secondly, what do you do when your husband makes pounds upon pounds of spaghetti? You make spaghetti frittata! Om-nom-nom!
The recipe can be found here! You can basically add anything to this dish - we added a bit of leftover ham lunchmeat and some shredded cheese. It was amazing!
And, finally, the requisite cute baby picture!

Not the best pictures I’ve ever taken, but the model was sure cute! Side-note: I stayed up far too late knitting that little jacket… *yawn*

What type of insane human being buys 8 lbs of carrots, 10 lbs of potatoes, and ungodly huge bags of spinach for no real reason other than “hey, they were a good value.”? Me, obviously.
Now, what do you do with said truckload of veggies? Why, make a truckload of baby food, of course!

… that she has gotten some use out of the things that I’ve knitted/crocheted for her!

I can’t wait to have better lighting.
Those eyes could kill.

I finally dug out the few sweaters that I had knit for the Nooblet months ago… and it’s a good thing I did. I now mourn the fact that there is no possible way that these will fit her come winter. Still, I made sure to get some pictures last weekend.

She’s already getting so big!

I believe this is the first time I ever posted a picture of myself…
Also, I had a request for a pattern of a sop to add to my Cerberus pattern. I’m going to attempt to get a quick freebie pattern ready for next week. Now… let’s see if the Nooblet allows to actually pick up a crochet hook.

Only 18 days to go! I don’t have much to write, but here are some pictures!
While we didn’t actually celebrate Father’s Day this year (and we weren’t going to “jinx” it by doing it early), I did give him a small basket filled with “new daddy essentials.”

Caffeinated hot chocolate, baby manual, ear plugs, Aleve, Dove Chocolates, a mug that says “#1 Dad” in binary, gum, rubber ducky, and a onesie.
The nursery is pretty much done:

It looks much better in person, I swear. The tin-foil is there to teach Sergio (pictured) that the crib is not his personal bed.
…and The Nooblet’s coming-home outfit was finally decided upon and I another pair of booties.

Yes, I know they don’t quite match. I have vowed not to purchase more yarn until next year. I’m sure she won’t mind.

I’m addicted to this pattern. Can you tell?

Made these in a couple of hours - the result was face-meltingly adorable. Hope you aren’t sick of looking at our balcony…

Made with Bernat Softee - definitely not the best yarn in the world.
